Dear customers and
friends!
Summer is "upon us", and what a Summer it has been
so far in our part of Canada. Sorry Ontario, that we
stole your Summer weather with temperatures even
beyond (local) record breaking 35 degrees.

and available in our store
Did we stop knitting and crocheting in these
temperatures? Nope!
We can even report that we had our first knitter
guests in our
Hidden Harbour B&B in July and August.
Rita from Idaho spent 9 days here and thoroughly
enjoyed them. Grete and Emma from Vancouver just
stopped here on a knitting cruise across all
Vancouver Island.
Fall Yarns and other new products
are rolling in, but SORRY, I was unable to update
our web site and blogs in time for this newsletter.
You can expect new entries daily now - so bookmark
our
web site and
yarn blog and visit us often!
Knit in the Park is on August 15th
in many cities. Read below, and this year you can
even participate in the fun if you don't live here!
Many classes are in the planning
(see below) - please tell us your preferences, which
makes it much easier to taylor the program to your
needs!
If you haven't signed up to the Empire Club
yet: check out our
July newsletter - it's worth it!
Talk to you soon and:
Thank you for your support!

Knit in the Park coming up VERY soon!
On Saturday August 15th we will have our national
Knit in the Park again. On Ostler Park, just
across from our store. Yarn is on us, refreshments
are sponsored by our friends from 7-Eleven and
Altrusa International.
The project will be Cotton Caps for chemo
patients in our
 local
cancer care program. 11-4 pm, bring your lawn
chair and something to nibble... Beginners are
welcome, it's fun!
And if you come from out of town, our very own B&B
takes easily 4, even up to 8 knitters.
Now, our friend Janice talked us into the
challenge
to finish 100 Chemo Caps!
She herself has committed to 10 alone. Anybody
is invited to knit or crochet one or more Chemo
Caps. We dug out many free patterns for
this project (see below). If you are interested to
participate, just phone 1-888-588-7834
or
email us. We send you patterns and
even some cotton yarn if you don't find some in
your stash!
