Dear
customers and friends!
First off, this will be the newsletter
for June and July. On
the same token: our yarn of the
month stays the same for June
and July - that means
whopping 20% on all sock yarns,
including the newest ones, for two
months! But please always check
our
web site
and
yarn blog
for ongoing news during
these months.
 As
you see from the picture of our last
Rhodo in blooms: Summer is near, and we
had a couple of good summer days
already, at least in our part of the
world. A perfect time to knit and
crochet, don't you think?
We got a "Page-A-Day Knitting Calendar"
as a gift (check
www.pageaday.com if you are
interested). On May 25 we found this
hilarious blurb:
"I was watching nonknitters today,
and they confuse me. I mean, here they
are, stunned by us and all the yarn we
have and how we spend our time, and they
say things like, 'Oh, I wish I had time
to do that.' And then you see them ...
just sitting there. This morning I rode
the subway with at least 100 people, and
half of them didn't even have a book.
They just sat there. I know, they don't
get the knitting, but I really don't
know how they do it. More than that, it
makes me wonder how I filled my life
before I knit."
Have a happy, adventureous and sunny
summer, and as always please
let us know what we can do
better!
Thank you for your support.

Last but not least
The
3/50 Project
This initiative started in the
States, but it's true and
valuable everywhere. Essentially it
is reminding us in a strong way to
support our local
independently owned stores.
The simple core message is:
"What three independently owned
businesses would you miss if they
disappeared? Stop in. Say Hello.
Pick up something that brings a
smile. Your purchases are what
keeps those businesses around."
If three
quarters of the population would spend
$50 each month in local independently
owned businesses, this would generate
a tremendous revenue and impact on
those businesses. We think that
shopping online in those businesses
(like ours) is included.
