A fresh
Hello from freezing
cold Campbell River (relatively, compared
with the Prairies). We are not really used
to snow and icy temperatures here - as is
the giant dragon fly on this photo, taken in
our backyard 10 days ago. But good thing,
this weather still keeps the hands of
our knitters and crocheters going, instead
them being out gardening. My new 'greenhouse
with a view' in the background probably has
to wait for another little while.
We hope that you had a good start into this
very special NEW YEAR 2011 - 2011 is a prime
number and the sum of seven consecutive
prime numbers, did you know this?

One good thing about the transition from
Winter to Spring is the growth of hope and
anticipation. Another the desire (and need)
for clean-up and inventory.
After our year-end inventory was done we contacted
all our yarn suppliers to find out which of
our yarn lines they had discontinued. Before
that we thought there wouldn't be enough
volume for a Spring Sale,
but then it turned out to be the best one
ever with regards to volume and yarn quality
- and sales as well. What a shame to kick
out so wonderful yarns, as a customer noted.
Do we like it? With 50% off we definitely
lose money, but we gained new customers and
space for new yarn lines.
This Sale officially ended on Saturday
February 26th. We were so busy that I
couldn't inform our online customers in
time, nor could I update the
list of SaleYarns which we now
did on February 28th.
