Dear customers and friends!

The current trend projects (Lopi, Fair-Isle and Cowichan sweaters), new books and yarns, and very exciting upcoming classes and workshops kept us busy here, together with giving all our knitters and crocheters (and Santa!) a helping hand to get the last projects for Christmas and Hanukkah done and to get the stockings stuffed. A bit later than intended, but full of new ideas for 2010 - enjoy our last newsletter of 2009!

How do you like my new Lopi Sweater? I just LOVE it. See below.

Who knows what exactly started this excitement and revival of Lopi, Fair-Isle and Cowichan sweaters. Maybe the sweaters which the Canadian Olympic Team is wearing next February? They are Cowichan-like and we got many inquiries for Cowichan patterns and yarns recently. Just ask us!

With our Yarn of the Month (article below) and the many available Lopi Pattern Books we started a real Lopi Palooza. A Lopi Sweater Knit-Along and a Fair-Isle Workshop (see class announcements below) add to it. Be part of it, get your 20% discount, pattern books and our expertise! Book your classes now!

A special treat will be a weekend with Maggie Jackson End of March. This is Maggie's first series of workshops in Canada! We expect knitters from the North West US and Western Canada to attend and visit us here in beautiful Campbell River. If you don't know Maggie yet, check her web site, or the wonderful book Maggie's Ireland (available in our store), and read the workshop announcement. It all starts with a free Fashion Show on Friday evening, March 26, then you can either choose from two workshops on Saturday and Sunday or better book both of them. This creative talent Maggie will set the tone for your knitting projects 2010! Secure your spot!

Our Chemo Cap Project goes in its next phase! Read the latest about our recent distribution here. Now our knitters will soon continue on with caps and shawls for chemo patients and we even got funds donated for more yarn. Be part of it, wherever you knit in North America, contact us!

While the old year ends in a whirlwind, we wish you peaceful Holidays and will continue to strive to serve you better in the New Year.

Thank you for your ongoing support!
