The Frill Thrill is (still) on!!
Our first Frill Seeker shipment was sold out right
away, and after some wait and many pre-orders, the
second one came and went - only some balls
left. Now, the
3 new Frill Seeker shades are on their
way to us as we speak and the next large shipment is
expected later this month.
The Frill Seeker scarves look pretty fancy, it takes
only "a hockey game" to knit them, they are fun to
knit, although a bit weird to get started.
Still enough time to make one - or a couple
- for Christmas! Get an
introductory video here!

One or Two Skein Gift-Giving Wonders
|
|
Cozy Slippers |
With the Holiday Season rapidly approaching, we
all feel the pressure
to get the gift
giving finished (or even started!).
If you like to make your gift but don't have a lot
of time, may we suggest the following
quick knits. They only take a skein or
two, and can be knit in an evening or so (or
during a hockey game).

We found this for You...
Are you ready for a special treat?
When a customer from Oregon ordered 17 100g balls of
this wonderful high-end
Tui yarn from Zealana (70% NZ Merino, 15% NZ
Cashmere and 15% Posum), our supplier advised us to
check the Holiday 2010 issue of Vogue
Knitting.
We bought a magazine right away. Here they state:
"the cardinal colour for the season is - guess what
- red", and under
Rhapsody in Red the magazine
features the
Cable Swing Poncho by Michele Wang -
knit in Tui, shade 301. Want to see more? Vogue
Knitting offers a 360 degrees view. Go to
www.vogueknitting.com/VK360..aspx and select
Rhapsody in Red, then click on the Poncho.

|
Cable Swing Poncho, made from Tui yarn
|
Once you get the magazine, order the
Tui yarn from us. The 100 ball of this smooth
Chunky yarn is whopping $21, but boy is this a
wonderful hooded poncho! Needless to say, we have
less expensive alternatives, too.

Last
button not least
Just in: More than 100 new types of
buttons!
As you may know, we import (from
India) fine Surina knitting needles, crochet
hooks, a big variety of
shawl
pins (they are a big hit!),
needle cases from leather and fabric, and a
variety of button shapes, made from Surina
wood, horn, bone, red wood and ebony. See our
Surina web page.
|
|
New Button Selection |
Now we
opened up a new source and got a first test shipment
of fine buttons in wood, horn, bone and bamboo from
the Delhi area. See about half of the different styles
in this photo.
Because
we sell these products to yarn stores, please
encourage your Local Yarn Store to
carry our products and to
contact us. If you cannot get them at your LYS,
feel free to
order from us!
