Here we will tell you a little about ourselves and our company.

Our Business Philosophy

The objective of our business is to provide high quality products and reliable service for our customers. Our store's motto is "Feel the Inspiration". We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site as much as you would enjoy visiting our store.

Meet Inge - The Heart and Soul

Inge has been either a business woman or a busy mom all her life.1995, just one year after she immigrated with her family from Germany, she took over The Framing Post and started her career as a creative and artistic custom picture framer - she retired from picture framing end of 2013.

In 1999, Inge added the Needle & Arts Centre in the adjacent premises and rounded up an established all-in-one art and craft place, unique in Western Canada. Needlework supplies, functional pottery and decorational and gift items complement the growing yarn department. The Yarn Department of the Needle & Arts Centre expanded to become the yarn store with one of the biggest selections of quality yarns on the Island. Supported by several highly qualified knitting and needlework consultants, Inge offers knitting drop-ins and crochet consulting every day.

On top of picture framing and knitting, Inge always liked to give back to the community as a member of the Daybreak Rotary Club and by being involved in community beautification projects and the Pier Street Farmers Market.

The Needle & Arts Centre

Established in 1999, this shop offers a variety of craft and decor related departments: the large yarn department for knitting and crochet, the large selection of functional and decorative local pottery, and needlework supplies.
Enjoy our Knit Cafe where we give consulting and where you can drop in for help at any time. There is always (free) tea or coffee on.

Our Shop

This is a portion of the yarn department. Hard to get all the scents (of hand made soaps) and the European flair on one photo. The colours alone are a feast for the eyes. For more store photos and different departments go to the links on the left!
