This is what you are looking for: high quality for a low price!
As Surina Importers Canada we now carry wooden knitting and crochet needles, recycled Silk yarn, shawl pins and needle cases from India.
 
The Surina needles are "super smooth with deep natural grain". They are made from the Surina tree, which is grown on plantations in the Sundarban area of India. Known as the "Elegant Tree" or Indian Tulip Tree, they are tall and very straight with thin branches producing a hard but lightweight wood suitable for fine woodworking and popular because of the range of colors expressed (tan, through yellow, to red or even a purple sheen).
 
Highly skilled artisans hand turn this raw material into exceptional knitting needles that are super smooth and lustrous, show a lovely pink grain and are stamped with both metric and US. No other wood can provide the look that Surina can. 
No harmful chemical or agents are used in the making of these beautiful needles.

All wooden needles and hoks are available as round or square needles. Square needles are said to be very arthritis friendly.

SINGLE POINT SQUARE TOP NEEDLES

Straight needles are used for flat knitting. They have a knob on one end, which keeps the stitches from falling off the needle. The knob should be light enough to keep the needle balanced. Single point needles come in pairs.

METAL CIRCULAR NEEDLES

Super price!
Our circular needles come in a range of cable lengths from 12 to 40 inches. Longer cables will accommodate more stitches than straight needles, so knitters favor them. The connecting cables are made of nylon. Soft, flexible cables are easier to use than stiff ones. Stitches move more freely on smaller diameter cables. The join between the needle and cable are smooth so the stitches don't snag. A flattened area on the cable just before the needle join adds flexibility.
 
Quote: "Circular needles are carpal tunnel friendly:  they keep the weight balanced between the hands and arms and never put a heavy load on only one."
