Bonfire Blanket

Hmmm - do you smell the beach fire?

“After a long day of tide pool treasure hunting, sandy kids curl up next to the beach bonfire. Parents enjoy a moment of peace and stay up late to share a bottle of wine and laughter around the fire. Snuggled under a warm blanket you can spend a night counting stars”.

The Bonfire Blanket by Canadian Designers Tin Can Knits is a beginners project which involves easy to follow cable instructions.

The finished blanket measures (blocked) about 40” x 49”.

Cascade Eco+ / Ecological Wool is 100% Natural Peruvian Wool. Soft and wearable, this wool lends itself to either garments or felting. With amazing, big, generous 250 g skeins, it's perfect for all sorts of garments like cardigans, pullovers and blankets.

We recommend Cascade ECO Wool, the work horse for blankets. Purchase the pattern from Ravelry.com.

We chose these alternative shades for this pattern. You need 4 skeins of Cascade Eco+/Ecological Wool at 250g: 8401 silver grey or 2452 turtle; but feel free to make your own choice.
