Water from Canadian designer Sylvia McFadden is an elegant asymmetrical triangle shawl worked with a technique which she calls Softsweater Knits Charted Lace Short Rows.
The added fabric from the watery twisted stitch lace short rows creates a wonderful unique shape reminiscent of a teardrop, turning the otherwise triangle shawl shape into something more likely to fall from the sky as rain.
We recommend Fino from Manos del Uruguay, a luxurious blend of 70% Extrafine Merino and 30% Silk in a single-ply sock/lace weight.
The shawl in the picture was knit with colour 403 Silhouette.
You need to order two 100g balls of Fino from the shade of your choice
skill level: intermediate
stitches/techniques involved: special short rows as explained in the pattern
washing instructions: hand wash cold, dry flat
